OUR STORY
I credit my career as a speech therapist to Dr. Lena Ceaser, my mentor. During my freshman year at Andrews University, I was undecided. I had no clue what I wanted to study until Dr. Ceaser placed a class schedule in my hand. I was introduced to speech therapy in Dr Ceaser's course that year and the rest is history. I majored in speech-language pathology at Andrews University along with Lauren. We didn’t fall in love with the major in the beginning but by our last year in college, we knew the field was our calling.
The tremendous impact our work had on children and adults had an even bigger impact on us. Witnessing how much we were helping children with communication problems - and improving their lives forever - encouraged us to continue our education and complete graduate school. I began working in schools, clinics and hospitals. Lauren began attending speech therapy events to inform parents on the importance of finding the right speech pathologists as soon as they see a problem in their child.

In 2015, we started The Therapy Connection because we wanted to give better options to parents who felt frustrated, overwhelmed and discouraged.
Many parents have told us:
After working for many years with children of all ages, we recognized how important passionate therapists were to children with speech problems. It’s a serious job and every child deserves a therapist who cares about him or her. Children progress faster when they have a real connection with their therapist.
You don't have to settle for the wrong therapists who overcharge you, nor over-worked school therapists that don't deliver effective results. Lauren and I understand the difficulties in finding uplifting, qualified speech therapists so we are here to bring it all together and make your life a little more simple.

Many parents have told us:
- The painful rejection from therapists who claim they can't help
- How tough it is to find consistent sessions
- How expensive many speech therapists can be
- The lack of connection among some therapists

Lauren Bryant - M.S., CCC-SLP
Until halfway through my college career, I had no idea there were people in this world who couldn’t talk. People who couldn’t communicate or express their wants/needs, hopes, fears or anything at all that they wanted to share. I learned that there was a profession whose sole responsibility was to change this and I knew I had to be this person. I had to do what I could to make sure these people had the same gift that I took for granted everyday. This is why I became a speech pathologist. Hometown: Brooklyn, NY Education & Licenses:
